TARAHUMARA RACES

Tarahumara races begin with the betting. This can take up to several hours prior to the race. Tarahumaras bet almost anything, horses, cows, sheep, goats, clothing, tools, money, etc. Surprisingly no written record of who bet what is ever kept. The Tarahumaras in charge of collecting the bets remember what is whose.
